Leticia started her fitness journey after getting Rheumatoid Arthritis at the age of 20. She was attending post secondary when she very suddenly developed the immune deficiency disease. At the time, she was not able to walk or take care of herself, so her life became one of recovery. Two years later, she was able to begin running again and began her fitness journey.
After getting back into normal life of work, she decided to go back to school to become a Recreation Therapist and graduated with her degree Bachelor of Recreation Therapy from the University of Manitoba. After graduation, she moved to Calgary, AB and got a job as a Recreation Therapist with a local nursing home. All the while, she continued her fitness journey and studied to get her Personal Training Certification, among other fitness certifications.
She then took a job at a local Recreation Centre and began working as a Personal Trainer, Fitness Instructor and pre and post specialist, and remained there until Covid hit in 2020.
Throughout the years, she got married, and had two children. Her learning journey has never stopped. She continues to take courses and learn as much as possible by consulting physicians, physiotherapists and the like to better help her training skills to better serve her clients.
After Covid, she decided to stay closer to home for the sake of her family and has begun her own business to have more control over her hours and flexibility.
Her main goal in life is to find balance. Balance with work, fitness, family and friends. Let her help you with your goals too!
